I'm using Crystal Reports 11 and have 2 reports that share a common sub report.
I have created a copy of the 2 reports and the sub report. I then edited the copied sub report and attempted to reimport the edited sub report into the 2 copied reports. However this action reimported the original sub report rather than the copied one.
How do you specify a relative path for sub reports linked to a report?
Thanks
hi Duncan -- I've been struggling with this relative path issue myself.
Have you tried the hyperlinks mentioned? If so, (how) do they simplify the solution? I think re-including the proper subreport (from the new location) is pretty cumbersome, just from a formatting, etc, perspective.
One option that may be a little easier is to rename the original subreport, move it to a different folder, etc, so that the main reports can no longer find it... in which case they'll prompt for the subreport to use.... Not ideal, but it works.
I imagine you've found your preferred solution by now, but would like to hear your thoughts.
Thanks,
Carol

You need to go into the subreport properties by right clicking on the subreport and choosing Format Subreport and then the subreport tab and check on the option to Re-import when open.
You have the option to use a hyperlink to get them also. Otherwise remove the and add it back from where it's going to be located.
