Start a career in SAP

Hi,

One of my friend is looking for the career pathway in SAP. He currently works on technologies such as Webapps, Node.js, JavaScript.

What should be the starting point for him in SAP. He wants to keep himself in Technology side.

I recommend looking at the SAP Learning Journeys https://help.sap.com/doc/221f8f84afef43d29ad37ef2af0c4adf/HP_2.0/en-US/317030086f83418a94dfe94173b46... and search for developer; the free courses from OpenSAP (open.sap.com) are a good start too but are included in the SAP Learning Journeys

Choosing SAP as career is nice option but your friend needs to think about which side of sap he wants to dive in , Functional side or technical side . As he got some programming knowledge i think he can get into Technical side with combinations ABAP+HANA or ABAP+SAP Fiori Apps Etc. But advise him to think twice on choosing which combination and side depending on the future.
