standard text: client dependent? how can we move to different client.

I have created a standard text in SO10.

i am using it in my smart form.

my development client is 010.

testing client is 020.

when i test in 020, i am getting error that standard text is not available.

So I think, standard may be either client dependent or we may have different mechanism to move the standard text like LSMW.

Please let me know the process.

You got it right. Standard texts (SO10) are client dependent.

U need to run program RSTXTRAN to attach standard text to transport request.

And then run transaction SCC1 in client 020 to transfer.

Hello,

If your clients are in same system then go to so01 and do the copy client . Utilities-->Copy from Client.

do this in the other client (testing client).

Hi,

Incase bothh your clients are within the same system then in SO10 from the menu do as follows:-

Utilities-->Copy from Client.

Do this in your target client. Copy from the source client.

While transporting to different systems make use of the transport request.

If it did not allow you to add to your existing TR; then add a new task to your TR and the try.

Hi ,

In order to make the text available in the different client what u need to do is goto se78 -> Stored as text>standard text->ST

Then in the right side enter ur text name and then click on the transport button,The the procedure is same like creating and transporting the object.

Cheers,

Joe

You can manually add the standard text to the Transport request,by going in SE01 ,double click the desired request and the entering manually like this

in the Program-id you write : R3TR

Object : TEXT

Objektname :Text,<Name_of_text>,<Id_of_text>,<Language>

and press save afterwards.

Now you can go to transaction SCC1 and transport the text to you desired client using the workbench request in which you saved the texts.

Hi,

go to se38...--> enter program name RSTXTRAN and execute -->next give :-Text key - object (TExt)

:-Text key - name( Standard TExt Name)

:-Text key - ID

:-Text key - language

and execute..

it will ask the Customize request create or assign the sutomize request ..

the standard Object is saved under Customize transport request now transport the transport request from one client to anothe..

automatically the standard text will appear in other client..

i could not use the existing transport request for this..

Is it could be a problem from my Basisauthorization or Standard text issue?
