SSO from EP60 to BW

When testing a standard SAP transaction, connecting to our BW 3.0B

system, in the Enterprise Portal 6.0 SP2 Patch4 via the portal

support desk, using SAP GUI for windows (i.e. no ITS problem), we

receive the error "The system is unable to interpret the SSO ticket


When we do the same test with our R/3 4.6C system we dont have any


The SSO2 setup is the same for both systems, and the systems are in

the same domain.

We have installed portal plugins, etc. according to documentation.

Do you have any ideas?

if you haven't found the problem so far, do the following:

Go to SM50, select some work processes, active security trace, change trace level to 2 and try to login again.

Check the trace files and come back here with the relevant excerpt of the user's login attempt.

Hi David,

Please reimport the Portal certificate into BW and check the Portal SID in BW should be the same as the actual portal SID.

Also, both of them need to be in the same domain for SSO with SAP Logon Tickets.

Check to make sure you imported Portal certificate into BW using STRUSTSSO2. Once this is done SSO will work fine.

Make sure to have the BW profile parameters accepting the SSO tickets. Paramter name is login/accept_sso2_ticket.

Do you guys know if this is solved? I am having a similar issue. My Portal and BW are on different domains. ANy help is appreaciated.

check the sid of the portal in sso2 must be the same.

in the default configuration SID=(value of the CN from the portal certificate)
