Hi,
I want to configure SAP help for NW04 Sandbox system. I want to use the simple PlainHtmlHttp and provide help.sap.com as the server for use via internet.
What steps do I need to follow? Do I still need to copy data from the documentation DVD to a local folder and do I need any profile parameters?
I have already gone through the PDF document in the documentato DVD but it asks to Install and copy the files to local disk, but I think there is a shortcut and I can just use the help.sap.com portal. I am sure some one of the gurus might know here.
Thanks
Cyrus
Hi Cyrus.
Did you get this to work?
My config in SR13 is like this 0n the PlainHtmlHttp tab:
Variant: OnlineHelp (This can be whatever you like)
Platform: WN32
Area: IWBHELP (documentation in the input help)
Server name: http://help.sap.com
Path: saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata
Language: EN
Default: checked
This works fine for me.

Thomas

Thanks Thomas.
I just had to add the WIN32 platform entry to SR13 and now it works. I had all other platforms except this one.
Thanks again
Cyrus

here are my entries for SR13:
GENERATED_BY_XPRA_Windows NT_IWBHELP_1 -> saphelp_nw04\helpdata
GENERATED_BY_XPRA_WN32_98_IWBHELP_1 -> saphelp_nw04\helpdata
GENERATED_BY_XPRA_WN32_S_IWBHELP_1 -> saphelp_nw04\helpdata
GENERATED_BY_XPRA_ITS_IWBHELP_1 -> saphelp_nw04\helpdata
GENERATED_BY_XPRA_WN32_95_IWBHELP_1 -> saphelp_nw04\helpdata
SAPGUI should be ok because it works for other systems which are already configured.
I have not set the eu/iwb* parameters.
Thanks
Cyrus

Hi Srihari,
Yes, this is exactly what I did and restarted the system.
But when I try to go to SAP Library from any transaction, I get the message " No Documentation Available"
What am I missing here?

Hi,
Check the note [501472|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=501472] and [446186|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=446186]
The other possibilities could be:
1. Browser is not starting. In that case check IWB_HTML_HELP_BROWSER_CALL and IWB_PATH_SERVER_FOR_CLASS_GET modules corrections in the market place.
2. Check the profile parameters eu/iwb/help_type, eu/iwb/path* and eu/iwb/server*

Srihari
