We are currently using SQL Anywhere 12, it is a free edition, according to what I have been told.
We are currently running a windows server, but are looking at switching to linux. Is there anywhere, I can download the linux version from?
UPDATE Just clarifying that is is the web edition I was after (we are unable to upgrade to 17 on this project). I guess I was kind of hoping someone that had it, could put a copy in dropbox or something (if thats not against the licencing rules)
Request clarification before answering.
I am not sure about the 12th version, but there is SQL Anywhere 17. You can get an evaluation copy here: SAP SQL Anywhere 17 - Developer Edition
I have forgotten to mention. These are OS that SA supports: Supported platforms

As to "a free edition": AFAIK the only "free" edition of SQL Anywhere 12 was the "Web Edition", which is not more available according to this and this sources.
Or do you relate to the Developer Edition - which is free but not meant for commercial use? - See Vlad's answer then. Currently, v16 is also available as Developer Edition. For v12, I don't know - v12 will reach its EOL at the end of the year, so it's probably not more targetted for new development...

Based on the 2nd cited source, I would (wildly) guess that if you
then it should be licensed as a Web Edition. AFAIK, the software is the same, the key decides what edition and features you can use.
Wild guesses, as stated. For example, I do not know whether keys can be used for different platforms.
