Source system cannot use any of the proposed connection names

Hi Guys,

I have a received a new environment and the source system link has been badly created : wrong name linked to wrong system.

I tried to modify the sourcesystem configuration in my BW in order to avoid loosing all my infosource. But now when I click on restore on my source system I end up with having the following error message :

The connection SA is used in the VEISRM100

source system as a connection VEIBW_100 Used

Do you want to delete this connection in the source

The connection is restored after it has been delete

I choose delete and then I have the following error message :

Source system cannot use any of the proposed connection names

I tried to change values in Tools->Assignement of src system to src system ID (Putting this SA, putting another value...) but I have still the same message.

If this connection ID (SA) is already used, I don't know where it is ? On the source system ? In BW ? Is there a way to release it ?

Any input would be greatly appreciated !

Best regards,

Manuel

Table RSBASIDOC contains source system information on each system.

Check:

Source system connection tool

System must be open for creating/connecting source systems

Check with basis whether this source system is assinged to any logical systems. Try to delete those and reassign logical system to physical system again.
