Hi
I have installed a new Solman 7.2 system SPS10. It is used only for collecting data for SAP Support (i.eg. Maintenance Planner).
Because of SP 10 i have choosen to collect data directly into LMDB withou using an SLD.
So my question now is: do i need a Java instance? In what use cases do i need the Java part of Solution Manager? The only thing i can come up with is the need of an ADS (if Adobe is needed), but i can use any Java instance in the landscape for that.
Can anybody explain the Java use to me? Currently i have shut down the Java intance to check, but solman_setup is still asking for a java intance.
Request clarification before answering.
Hello Jakob,
Check the note 2577037 - Does Solution Manager 7.2 need ABAP and JAVA stack?
