solman_setup - unable to execute activity Database Extractor Setup

Dear Experts,

I am trying to connect a managed system to SAP Solution Manager 7.2 SPS 17 - (2 Servers - ASCS / ERS cluster), 2 application servers on Hana with HSR. I have the following problem in Point 6 of the Managed System Configuration guided procedure:

When searching for this error message, I found 3 SAP notes:

1925150 - Database Extractor Setup fails with error "Error while retrieving DBA Cockpit Self-Monitoring results" - SAP Solution Manager

2158831 - Error: "Error creating URL application" and "Error while retrieving DBA Cockpit Self-Monitoring results" in Database Extractor Setup - SAP Solution Manager 7.1 and 7.2

2656594 - Error retrieving database object from LMDB in DVM Size Statistics Extractor (DBCON)

Unfortunately, NONE of them helps to solve the issue. Furthermore, I have no idea where to look for more detailed error messages, in order to determine why exactly is it failing.

Hello,

May I check what is the database LSID value in table DB6NAVSYST and LMDB value? Perhaps you can re-trigger a database registration via hdblcm as suggested in https://help.sap.com/docs/SUPPORT_CONTENT/techops/3362700047.html.

OK, I can create... But I would rather guess that the problem is with the managed system. Why with the Solution Manager ? When other satellite systems do not have this problem ?

Dear Customer, 

If the HANA DB information in the LMDB is confirmed to be complete and accurate, and the DB connection in the DBCO is functioning properly, the appropriate solution to resolve the error would be to check the LSID in the DB6NAVSYST table. Please provide the LSID of the affected HANA DB and the items detailed information in the DB6NAVSYST.

Hello Vera, I am really sorry, but I would need a much more precise explanation. I have checked the DB6NAVSYST table. There is no value for LSID. What value should be set for LSID ? Additionally I have checked several other systems. They also have an empty LSID, but have the Database Extractor Setup completely green without any issues while executing the activity. This gives me reasons to believe that the problem is somewhere else. Please advise... Many thanks!

P. S.: I have also compared the LMDB entries for this database with an identical other system and didn't find any missing parts or discrepancies.

Dear Customer, in order to address the issue, it is necessary to perform a check on the solman system. To initiate this process, kindly create a case on SV-SMG-INF-CFG-MNG.
