in doc how to im , it explains about a Snap shot scenario can anyone kindly explain exactly what is this snap shot scenario...with examples becoz i got stuck with this....

Snapshot scenario in Inventory management is used to improve the query performance.
In non-cummulative method your stock movements are stored in the cube (inflow and outflow of NC KF) and the stock level is caclualted on the fly while query execution. Hence if there is a lot of movement in the stock for the period you want to report on, query will take long time to execute.
In snapshot method the stock level is physcally stored in your cube and faster query execution. Here stock movements are not captured. The name itself suggests that it is the status of stock at the particulat time when it was loaded.
Now the limitation of snapshot will be that you can not retrace the data as movements are not loaded. Hence it is recommended that you use snapshot scenario alongwith Non-cummulative.
