SMQ1 and SMQ2

Hi all,

Can someone please explain the role of SMQ1 and SMQ2 in XI system.

When data somes from a source system which queue does it first go to? In sxmb_moni which queue so we exactly see (smq1 or smq2).

What is the relation between Integration Server and the Messaging System?

And what is the relation between Integration Server and Adapter Framework?

Hi,

SMQ1 – qRFC Monitor for the outbound queue You can use this to monitor the status of the LUWs in the outbound queue.

SMQ2 – qRFC Monitor for the inbound queue. You can use this to monitor the status of the LUWs in the inbound queue.

Hi

what is the relation between Integration Server and Adapter Framework?

Integration server is the central component of XI.SAP Integation Server facilitates interaction between the invariably diverse operating systems and applications across internal and external networks.

The Adapter Framework is the basis of the Adapter Engine. The Adapter Framework is based on the SAP J2EE Engine (as part of the SAP Web Application Server) and the J2EE Connector Architecture (JCA). The Adapter Framework provides interfaces for configuration, management, and monitoring of adapters.

Hey

the data passes through the following levels

Sender system>sender adapter>SMQ2>IS>SMQ1->Receiver adapter-->Receiver system

Note:SMQ2 and SMQ1 actually reside in IS but i m showing it outside to explain the flow.

also please have a look at the following
