Short dump when searching for Chip's

Hello,

after the upgrade of our ABAP system to NetWeaver 731, SP4 I wanted to try the integration of a WebDynpro Abap view into a BPM process. I created a Chip as described in http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f0dea890-b954-2f10-34aa-9e19ed827....

When creating the task in BPM and searching the CHIP I get a short dump in the ABAP system caused by a timeout in method create_chips_tree_recu, class CL_CHIP_PROVIDER_PFCG.

Does anyone have an idea?

tried oss 1816698... but same issue... it seems to be linked my roles...

JFYI, I fixed it by removing "heavy" roles from my profile, and voila, it's working fine now.

Hello,

we are currently working on a fix for that problem: While creating a task in BPM, the search for CHIPs will then explicitly filter out all CHIPs based on roles. This will prevent timeouts that are caused by having lots of role - based CHIPs in the ABAP system.

I'll let you know once the fix is available.
