SFTP Adapter - Algorithm Error!

Hi

We had earlier received an error in SFTP sender for algorithm requirements.

The OSS notes 2344454 and 2337525 suggests that we need to upgrade our SFTP patch level to support stronger algorithm requirements.

The question is whether these notes are applicable to both Sender/Receiver SFTP adapter or only Receiver Adapter. Reason was that the oss 2344454 was initially referencing for an error happened in Receiver Adapter.

But I guess generall upgrade of patch will be for a whole and you can receive same error even in Sender Adapter.

Please clarify

How does SFTP Sender Adapter chooses the algorithm and ciphers for the SFTP server. Is it automatic or first come first match?

We had a requirement to upgrade as our third party SFTP server will support stronger algorithms in the future.

We ran the XPI inspector to trace the selection of algorithms and found that the Algorithm/Ciphers were all strong, but the MAC algorithms were chosen as weak.

The trace listed out all supported SFTP server algorithms and SFTP client algorithms and simply matched the weaker algorithm.

We are not sure whether this is due to the third party SFTP server is allowing weaker algorithms and our SAP has chosen that or is it just random.

Please clarify
