Setting up simple url,

Can some one guid me in creating simple url for direct link to UWL. Currently the URL for UWL is http://server:port/irj/portal?NavigationTarget=ROLES://portal_content/every_user/general/uwl/com.sap...

I would like to create a URL like (http://server:port/irj/portal/UWL) to go directly to the UWL in the portal. I know this can be done by making changes to some web.xml file, I am not sure which web.xml this changes should be made.

Thanks for the help. Max point will be awarded for solution.

An easy way to do this is to find where http://server/irj/portal/ points to in the file system then create a folder called UWL. In that folder, create a file called index.html or default.html (depending what file your webserver treats as a default document). Refer to http://www.instant-web-site-tools.com/html-redirect.html for the code in the html (sorry couldn't post html code)

Basically when you hit http://server/irj/portal/UWL then default document will immediately redirect you to whatever URL you put in the meta tag.

again this is an easy way of doing it if you don't know which web.xml to modify or what to modify. good luck

You could do this URL redirection for

http://<server:port>/UWL/ if you want to. To do use J2EE Visual Admin tools.

But for the following type of URL, I am not sure..

http://<server:port>/irj/portal/UWL/
