Send reports by e-mail in BW 3.1 URGENT

Hello,

I want to know how can i send reports by e-mail for specific users in the SAP BW 3.1 because in this version i think i don't have the bex broadcaster?

ger,

as you have mentioned , the BeX broadcaster is not available in 3.1.. but however an SMTP server is available in 3.1 - this can be verified by going to TCode SCOT and checking if the SMTP service is active / if not set the requisite parameters using the profile parameters.

There is there is a how to paper by Durairaj Athavan Raja on e-mailing queries in HTML format

you can use this to send web templates as HTML...

and there is another paper on broadcasting workbooks as HTML also - you can use that if required...

P.S it was e-mail workbooks alone - not as HTML....

And about the agent report, is it possible to send reports from these functionality?

Or the best solution is the one in that document?

Please, i need some help because there a few documents related with the send of reports by e-mail on the BW 3.1.

Ger,

As for reporting agent - you cannot broadcast / e-mail the reports as such , however you can send mails on exceptions / alerts etc...

In this case - depending on how and what your queries are you can send them as workbooks or HTML ( web templates )

Hi,

I send a report by e-mail but i just know in reporting agent to send the copy of the background print of the query, and it looks very bad.

You talked about the case of send it as workbook or HTML or Web template, can you explain me this better...
