Send Message Link not available in collaboration menu

Hi,

I am trying to use send message service of CLP in the SAP EP portal. All the other services are available just the "Send Message" is not appearing. Please help.

Hi Adita,

There are a couple of possible reasons that the 'Send Instant Message' entry might not be present. I would advise checking the following -

1. Ensure that you have activated the RTMF service for 'Instant Messaging' as per http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/03/80a74052033713e10000000a155106/frameset.htm

2. Run through the solution section of SAP KBA 2055851

3. Check if Issue is occurring in Chrome. If option is not available only when using IE, check SAP Note 2229266

Also, looking at the screenshot attached, it does not appear as though the specific user to whom you wish to send the message has been selected. In order to send an instant message you must first select the user (within the collaboration launch pad). The 'send instant message' entry should be in the context menu when you select the icon next to the user's name.
