Sorry, I should have given more details.

I mean in the subquery part.

e.g. Pooled table: A017

SELECT * FROM A017

INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE itab

WHERE exists ( SELECT * FROM EINA WHERE MATNR = A017~MATNR ).

it gives a runtime error.

Hi Macy,

looks like subqueries have the same restrictions as JOIN.

But if you plan to use A017, convert the table into transparent table with SE11. This will help with some performance problems in the long run.

Does it give you a run-time error ? It throws a syntax error for me!! Which version of SAP are you using ?

yes, it gives me syntax error, and gives runtime error when i use A017-matnr.
