search new forums content with TREX?

Hello everybody,

since the new forums are available within NetWeaver 2004 SPS20 we're really happy using this improvement. But now it would be really nice to know if it's possible to include/combine the new forums content into the TREX search?

The following link shows that the forums content will be directly stored in the Database:

How can we access the content with TREX? Has anybody made this before? On my opinion it's not very convenient to separate the forums content from TREX, because our users do not want to use two different search fields

Hi Steffen

I have the answer for you, and Ill send the documentation (roadmap) by email.

The short answer is that there is no KM integration at the moment. As I understand the new forums and the search in them (I have seen no documentation, so dont be too sure of this), then the search is performed via an index (not TREX-index, but J2EE-index) over the database content.

So for a while, your users have to search two different places.
