I am new to this.
How would I the easiest configure SDCCN for EWA on productive system?
If I understand SDCCN is suitable also for Licence auditing ....
What else is SDCCN also suitable for?
If you want to activate SDCCN , you have to deactivate SDCC before activating SDCCN.For this delete any future background jobs connected with SDCC:
AUTO_SESSION_MANAGER, SESS* , SASM* . Then activate SDCCN by
SDCCN --> 'Utilites -> Activate in satellite system. Check note 763561 and the attached pdf for more details
If you have completed all the necessary steps then you need to create the service from the solution manager itself. If the Earlywatch service is not scheduled or defined then pushing the data form the satellite systems will not make any sense as this data will not have a earlywatch session corresponding to it.
So,effectively,an EWA needs to be created first in the Solution Manager system and then you can call SDCCN in the satellite system and start the service
' EarlyWatch Alert for Solution Manager ' to send data to the solution manager system immediately.
Else if this job is not scheduled automatically then you can create it by creating a new task called 'Refresh Sessions'.

Hi Jim,
SDCCN has not yet been initialised correctly, and so the customizing for the tasks has not been filled yet.
SDCCN can be initialised locally by following these steps:
Ensure that the task processor job is deactivated, via
SDCCN -> Goto -> Settings -> Task processor
Then initialise the tool via SDCCN ->Utilities -> Activate.
If so.then check this blog .. and it would help you in configuring the same.

For more info go to Forum -> earch with 'SDCCN for EWA' you will get lots of information
Rewards if useful................
