Script for copying security rights on folders across environments

We have BO 4.2 servers across multiple lower environments.

What is the best way to use a common script to apply security for a common user group across environments without using manual steps?

Thanks ,

Sandy

If it is a common User group - why not use Promotion management ?

Shall try,(though the group name is same-underlying member groups are different - between diff environments).

Alright , I have the following question from Promotion Management-

  1. DEV1 System has a user group MYUSERGROUP (members- Paul,Bill,Sam) DEV2 has a user group MYUSERGROUP (Jill,Sheila,Tom) .
  2. If I create a job - click on Promote security, will it add the same rights as MYUSERGROUP ON DEV1 to DEV2 - the folder names are the same.. Also , can I just add the securities and not select anything else?
  3. Do you know how to script this in LCMCLI---or any guide to that?

Thanks.
