Hello all,

I would like to create folders in the form of SAP Roles without any authorization data. I am going to just use this as placeholders to store workbooks. So it doesn't make any sense for me to assign any authorization objects to it. Correct me if I am wrong.

But when I am trying to create a role (using Tcode PFCG) it asks for assigning the authorization object or else it is not allowing me to activate it.

Is there a way to create a role without any authorization object?

You can actually create roles without any authorization object in it. We do it all the time for our "menu" roles.

It looks like you cannot do that. Surely at a minimum, there will be some generic roles you can assign, something that each role will need?
