SAPUI5 Timepicker - minutesStep property not working

How do I configure the SAPUI5 timepicker to display minutes in 15 minute intervals?

<TimePicker displayFormat="HH:mm" minutesStep="15" > </TimePicker>

The above code is ignored, I can select any time.

so .. here is an observation..

1) if you want to add the minutesSteps property in the view, it will give you an error on the console.. unless you set the property to minuteStep (singular) however, the control doesnt work as you saw that

2) alternatively, you can omit that property for now (seems to be a bug on the control itelf) and set the minutesStep function on the controller, onBeforeRendering event

assume your TimePicker control has id=tss

then, on your controller:

onInit: function() {

self = this;

},

onBeforeRendering: function() {

self.getView().byId('tss').setMinutesStep(15); // this will work

}, ..
