SAPRouter String

EXPERT!

SAPRouter has been set with the SAP-AG IP address and our IP address has been registered in SAP-AG.

Is it possible to our users can connect SAPRouter String in SAP-GUI. ?

is it correct SAPRouter String

/H/ %our sap router ip address% /S/3299/H/194.39.131.34/S/3299/H/oss001.wdf.sap

Please advise us.

The route string appears as follows:

/H/sap_rout/H/your_rout/W/pass_to_app/H/yourapp/S/sapsrv

Mate,

Few question for you.

Are you able to ping the SAP server from your lan?

Is your SAPOSS RFC at sm59 test connection is working?

If No VPN then have you configured SNC and installed the SAP router correctly?

Is it possible to our users can connect our SAP Server from internet through SAPRouter String in SAPGUI without VPN-connection.

Is this not going to be a security issue?

We use the VPN method here, as it increases security into our whole landscape, and not just SAP.
