Hi,
at one new customer we have a problem installing the DB2 CONNECT through sapinst under NW 7.0 SR3 and an application server on zLinux. We first took the thin client, but sapinst didn't accept this thin client. We took the fat client and sapinst accepted it. But afterwards sapinst tries to connect to the DB2 under zOS.
We got an error in the sapinst log "instaceUser has no properties" .
Did someone got similar error with sapinst/DB2 connect ? How did you solve it ?
Kindly regards Michael Thelosen SAP
I´m no expert of zLinux (or z/OS in general) - but I found some notes that may point you to a direction:
858969 - SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) Installation: IBM DB2 for z/OS
1031213 - DB2-z/OS: Customizing WebAS 6.10 - 7.00 for V9 CLI Driver

thanks for info, we also looked to those notes, but we will look again. Thanks. Did you install the DB2 CONNECT in general concerning SAP DB2 zOS communication ? Which DB2 processes, environment variables or other DB2 info must be available after the DB2 CONNECT installation on zLinux ? Is there something like a checklist ? Kindly regards Michael
