Hi,

       How to connect to the SAP HANA Cloud Platform Database using SAP WEB IDE ,

      Please kindly tell us suggestion how to connect to the database using sap web IDE

Hi Selvaraj,

The straightforward answer is that SAP Web IDE is an HTML-based (client-side - browser-based solution) application and as such, it does not connect directly to a database. If it is needed, then another middleware application (for example JPaaS in HCP Neo) should be used.

However, there are already some more enhancements that you might be interesting in, as I’m not sure about your motivation and the related platform. As a hint:

• There is the SAP Web IDE for HANA which based on XSA. In that case there is option of HDI deploy (build) which activate objects in HANA DB.
• There is HRTT (HANA Runtime Tools) service which integrates to SAP Web IDE and provide editors which are bounds via backend process to HANA DB.
