Hello evereybody,
When introducing the new Slipstream SAP Screen Personas 3.0 application on our TC52 devices via Enterprise Browser, we encountered a problem that we have not yet been able to finally solve:
Whenever a new page / screen containing an input field is opened, the keyboard pops up automatically. That is not so usable for the users. (see attachment).
However, we would like the keyboard to only open when the user taps on the input field.
Do they have any tips for me on how we could solve our problem?
Currently there is no native Personas capability to disable the keyboard.
A feature is planned for SP19 which aims to address this and will introduce a property to control the mobile device keyboard, allowing the flavor to hide it for individual fields. Note that this is not a promise that it will be indeed part of the next SP, but it is in the current plan.
Years ago, there was a solution posted here which is a little more involved than having a specific property, if you have no time to wait for the new feature to be released.
