Hello Experts,
I'm going to upgrade our 10g database to 11g for our non SAP system.
Is SAP provided oracle11g database can be used for this?
Please suggest.
Thanks & Regards,
Ravindra.
Hello Ravindra,
yes the sources are the original oracle medias - they are just extended by some SAP scripts (in the SAP folder) and some response files.
So you could use this media for your non-SAP installations, but you can also download the sources from oracle for free.

Stefan

No problems.
I did the same a few years ago when I upgrade from Oracle 9i to Oracle 10g. this worked fine and it makes keeping multiple Oracle system to the same versions easier.
obviously, I wait for SAP to release newer Oracle version before upgrading other Oracle systems

Hi Eric,
Thanks a lot for the valueble information.
Which version you have installed? is it Enterprise edition or Standered edition?
For Enterprise edition we can use SAP media. For Standerd Editioin also SAP media can be used?
Our non SAP system is Standerd Edition. Can we use the SAP media?
Thanks in advance for your response.
Thanks & Regards,
Ravindra.
