Dear All,

I have a question regarding LVM upgrade version 2.0SP3 to SP5. After successful upgrade using SUM I am getting following 2 problems:

1. Diagnostic messages POD is returning following error:

2. System version is still showing up 2.0SP3 instead of SP5.

Could you please advice? Thank you.

Hi Lukasz,

You need to re-start you AS Java Engine after updating to new SP level.

Please re-start the system and lemme know if this solves the problem ?

Hi Adarsh,

Indeed first problem is solved now after restarting but it still shows up that the version is SP3 instead of SP5. Do you have any idea why?

Does it need to be upgraded step by step from 2.0SP3 to SP4 and then to SP5 ?

Rgs,

Lukasz

Hi Lukasz,

Looks like you downloaded the wrong patches.

You can find the correct patches for LVM 2.0 Standard Edition here:

http://service.sap.com/swdc  >  Support Packages and Patches  >  Browse Our Download Catalog  >  SAP NetWeaver and complementary products  >  SAP LANDSCAPE VIRT MGT STD  >  SAP LANDSCAPE VIRT MGT STD 2.0  >  Support Package Stack Download  >

Start SP Stack should be SPS 03 in your case and Target SP Stack should be SPS04.

Basically you need these tow SCA files:

VCM05_0-10010942.SCA (SP05 for VCM LVM 2.0)

VCMCR4E05_0-10010943.SCA (VCMCR4E05)

Since Java packages are cumulative, you can directly install/deploy the latest SP (i.e. you can go directly from SP03 to SP05).

Hope this helps and lemme know if you have additional questions.

Best Regards,

Adarsh

Hi Adarsh,

Thank you once again for your help. Upgrade has been completed successfully. The only thing is that we had to do VCM upgrade first from 3.0 to 4.3 and then to 5.0.

Best Regards,

Lukasz
