SAP IDES license error

Hi,

Our ECC6 Ehp3 IDES system got license check error and we can not log in any client.

In command line , I have run license check, the result was OK:

test result: license test ok

I have delete SAP* user in USR02 table and set login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0 in default.pfl

But when I try to login with SAP*/PASS , it promt error "Name or password incorrect"

Check in Syslog, there was error:SAP-Basis System: Msg server hardware ID missing (HWID_PENDING)

Anyone has idea about this problem? thanks a lot!

Hi Pole,

Can you please check if your SAP instance is running via MMC i.g. message server , dialog instance, dispatcher etc,

It seems there is connection issue

disp+work.exe running but not connected to message server(in yellow color), but in SAPGUI, it can connect to the IDES system,

if we login with SAP* user, it promt wrong user or password error, if login with normal user, it promt "error in license check".

I have checked the trace log,

I have checked host file and run license check, they are ok.

error message in error in dev.disp file: *** ERROR => Connection to Message Server failed - check installation http://dpxxdisp.c 1717

I don't know what cause this error.

Hi Pole,

Could you please confirm that sapms<SID> <portno> is existing in the services file on this host? If, you made the change later, did you restart the system?

Does correct IP address and hostname combination exists in hosts file?

Could you please post the complete log of dev_ms file?

Hi Venky,

Finally I solved the problem.

The problem is not due to license, it's due to profile , maybe because I changed the SAPGLOBALHOST parameter in RZ10 before , so when reboot, the system can not load the hardwareID, so it promt license error.

After searching tons of sap notes and SDN messge, I changed the profile back to the previous version, finally the system is ready for log in.
