SAP Hana Running Hyper-v Windows Server 2019 or 2022

Hi guys

I would like to know if SAP Bissines One and SAP Hana are already approved to use the hyper-v hypervisor on Windows Server 2019 or Windows Server 2022.

I searched the forum, but all the topics I found about Windows Server 2012 R2 or 2016 contain little information.

I found the note below, but it's not opening in my profile.

Can anyone provide a KB or PDF for reading?

Thanks

Hello,

SAP Note 1409608 has the exact information you are looking for. Your S-User probably does not have enough authorizations to view the KBA. The KBA itself is released for all customers. You will need to contact your SAP Super Administrator or SAP Account Executive if you cannot view the note. Check link Users & Contacts - SAP for Me to find your super administrator.

Providing PDF or screenshot of SAP Notes is not the correct way.

Regards, Kishan

Hi kishan , Thanks for your assistance. I will check the missing permission in my profile. I found some more information on the SAP website, but I still think it is outdated, especially that the reference is to Windows Server 2012R2 or 2016, there is a URL stating that hyper-v does not run Linux in the onpremise environment. https://help.sap.com/docs/SUPPORT_CONTENT/virtualization/3362185750.html Linux in Virtual Environments: Linux not supported with Hyper-V on-premises, but supported with Azure https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows- server/virtualization/hyper-v/supported-suse-virtual-machines-on-hyper-v I'll leave the URLs to centralize what I'll be reading and feeding into this post. SAP Systems on Windows Server 2019 and 2016 https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2751450 Check Cluster Hyper-v https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2624843 https://me.sap.com/notes/2419847 https://help.sap.com/docs/SUPPORT_CONTENT/virtualization/3362185785.html https://help.sap.com/docs/SUPPORT_CONTENT/virtualization/3362185806.html My understanding so far is that SAP is compatible with hyper-v, using Suse or redhat as a guest, but I haven't checked with SAP HANA yet.
