SAP HANA Cloud - Live data connection - No data sources

Hello experts,

I'm trying to connect my SAP HANA Cloud to SAC. I've managed to configure Connection (Live Data, Connection Type: SAP HANA Cloud, Authentication Method: User name and password), but when I go to Modeler and choose Live Data Model there is nothing in Data Sources section. I'm also not sure what I'm supposed to see in Data Sources - the official documentation does not tell much about it. What would you recommend?

I discovered that Data Source for live-connection is calculation views. Problem solved.

When you say you "configured" are you referring to configuring the connection for your HANA system to SAC or the configuration within SAC for the connection?

Once you determine how your going to connect your system to SAC you need to setup the connection in SAC also.

Thank you, Vi! Yes, I mean that I have configured a "Connection" in "Connections" section of my SAC. I didn't do any configurations in HANA. Should I? Can you refer me to the document that describes the process?

You can start here. Our basis team used the Cloud Connector to setup our live BW connection. We haven't created the live hana connection yet.

Thank you Vi Tran! Good sources! Still, it is not clear clear to me what one supposed to see in "Data Sources" section. When you was setting up your live connection, what was there in your case?

When building a model and selecting the "Live Connection" option I get this popup to choose our system type and the connection. Then I can search our data sources which are BW queries.

HI!

After creating your connection and selecting the creation of live connection modeling. You select your system type

Then select your conexion type

And in Data Source there will be a display of all your objects, cubes, tables and views.
