SAP Fiori app for Vendor Invoice Managment(VIM)

Good day All,

My Client is using Vendor Invoice Management(VIM) functionality in their business.

We got requirment to enable VIM Invoice Approval on SAP Fiori. As per my knowlege, we dont have SAP standard SAP Fiori application for VIM. So, we started buidling custom app for VIM approval process.

I heard SAP has a plan to release SAP Fiori Standard app for VIM Invoice, I searched it I could not find out any app with VIM related.

If you have any information on VIM SAP Fiori app, Please let me know.

Hi Nagaraju,

Open Text has launched their own Fiori app for VIM based Invoice approvals. Currently this Fiori application is capable of approving Non PO based invoices. If you are looking for both PO and Non PO based invoice approvals, you might need to wait for some more time. Because Open Text has announced it's road map already and existing Fiori app will be enhanced soon to incorporate PO based invoice approval scenrios and the latest app is expected to be released by the mid of 2016. As standard SAP Fiori app, Open Text's VIM Fiori app is also capable of extending UI and oData servcies as per the extension points. So for your purpose, use this app and can make customisations on top of it. Once the installations are done configuring this Firoi app in launchpad is just same as standard SAP Fiori application.

As per the open Text's Fiori app documentations:

1.You can install Business Center on systems with SAP Basis 7.00 Support Package

Level 16 or higher.

2.The Business Center web application by Open Text requires SAP Basis 7.40 Support Package Level

9 or higher. The Fiori web user interface requires at least UI5 version 1.24.5.

Hi All,

I got reply from SAP that:

Since VIM 7.0 SP6 and VIM 7.5 SP2 provides functionality on Fiori (integration), these components are available in the patch 7 and patch 2 folders in OpenText website.

Here is the link that you can use to download SP2 of VIM 7.5 that also includes a  folder for BC component to download required software.

If I understand correctly I just have to create the account , download the package and start making the changes NO License Cost is involved is that correct ?

If your client is already using Opentext product then super user in your client member will be having access to Opentext business center for fiori and they can download the package and manuals, docs.
