Dear experts,

i have installed a SAP Enterprise Portal 7.0 stack JAVA on Windows Server 2003 Enterprise 64bits with MS SQL Server on a Virtual Machine (VM) and i can access to the link http://<loaclhost>:5<Instance Number>00/irj/portal without problem

My network administrator network has only opened the port 80 and from the outised i cannot access to my portal weblink.

How can i access from the outside knowing that i must pass through the port 80. Please help.

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Pascal.

Pasal,

either you configure your portal/java stack to use port 80 instead of 50000 as default port (configtool, dispatcher, http provider).

or you use a "reverse proxy" to connect from outside/the internet to your portal (this would be the recommended productive solution)

Thank you every one for replying,

Achim Hauck: changing the port number is the last solution i will choose. Do you have any documents or web link about Reverse proxy with SAP?

Anyway i give points to everyone because you gave me several ways to manage my network problem.

Thank you.

Best regards,

Pascal.

The simplest way is to run a SAP Web Dispatcher on port 80 that uses the portal's message server...

You might need to change the port using Visual Adminstrator at

dispatcher / services / http provider

And need to restart the server.
