Good day,
I have installed the Finance Foundation business content on SAP Datasphere and am attempting to preview data from the GLACCOUNTLINEITEMRAWDATA object (equivalent to ACDOCA), which contains 600 million records.
Current Datasphere Tenant Configuration: 192GB disk space and 48GB RAM
I am working with an analytical model that has variables to limit the data; however, I am encountering an error that states: "Cannot allocate enough memory: Allocation failed; Reason: booked memory limit reached (SAP Note 3191224)."
I have reviewed the SAP note but am still unable to preview the data. Has anyone else experienced this issue, and how was it resolved? Thank you for your assistance.

Hi @LMichael,
Firstly, I'm not sure we should be trying to preview data from a table that contains 600 million records. The regular preview data should have a limit on the number of selected records anyway. Doesn't it?
But I see you are still getting the error with a analytical model that has variables to limit the data therefore I agree with @JulianJuraske that the first would be using Performance analysis in the SAP Datasphere. We need identify the root cause of the issue. You already know you deal with a table with 600 million records. What is table type? Remote Table or Local Table? Which HANA system giving this error? Underlying HANA of Datasphere or data source HANA system?
Certainly there are setting on Memory Limits for SQL Statements You can check you the monitoring views as well.
Keep us in the loop with the latest updates.
Regards,
Tuncay

Hello @LMichael
so far, I have not seen this error message myself, so I have no experience or solution to share.
Maybe this will help you? But only available in Q4.
I wanted to post a different page, I think it was even a webinar or maybe some replay of the Teched. But I could not find it anymore 😞 ... it happens too much and too fast, nowadays ... my brain can't keept up speed 😞
BR, Martin
