Hi all,
we are on BW4HANA 2.0, and am trying to put a currency conversion into a BW query/report.
I have created a Currency Translation type (RSCUR) and added a variable for the Target Currency.
This works fine in the query and the target currency is driven by the selection prompt as expected.
The problem is when I try to also add a variable for the Exchange Rate Type.
I have done a lot of searching online and cannot find a solution which is why I am asking a question here.
I have created a mandatory variable on the InfoObject 0RTYPE2, as an input ready variable.
In RSCUR for the Exchange rate type from variable I can see and select the variable and it saves fine.
However, when I use add this to the currency conversion in the query, the query can be saved but gives the below error when I try to run the query;
The reason why I used 0RTYPE2 and not 0RTYPE is because I cannot see the variables for 0RTYPE in RSCUR.
Also in RSCUR when I look at the F1 help on the Exchange Rate Variable field, it says;
Exchange rate type from variable
I am very confused on what to use here, as I mentioned I cannot see the 0RTYPE variables and as can see the 0RTYPE2 variables I am using that.
And am wondering is the issue due to the way the variables have been created, I have tried creating the 0RTYPE2 variables as;
Nothing seems to work, any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Shane.
HI all,
just to update on this issue.
I had a call with SAP, and they have provided a sap note to hopefully fix this;
Will update with the results when the note has been applied.
Thanks,
Shane.

Hi Seshupraveen,
after implementing the note I was then able to see and use the variables for 0RTYPE in RSCUR as expected.
However, we are now using a fixed Exchange Rate Type for this currency conversion, so the variable for Exchange Rate was not required anymore in our scenario.
It was a long time ago, but I think after the note we were able to use the Exchange Rate variable as expected, we just didn't need to anymore.
Thanks,
Shane.
