SAP BW DUMP Assertion failed CL_RSDD_CS_DATASOURCE while activating a transformation

Hello,

I have a dump when i try to activate a transformation :

The current application program has detected a situation with the ASSERT statement that should not occur.

The reason for this runtime error was one of the following:

- For the checkpoint group specified with the ASSERT statement, the activation mode is "abort".

- A system variant has been used to set the activation mode to "abort" globally for all checkpoint groups in this system.

- The activation mode is set to "abort" at program level.

- The ASSERT statement is not assigned to any checkpoint groups.

ASSERT NOT i_name IS INITIAL OR NOT i_indexid IS INITIAL.

"ASSERTION_FAILED" "CL_RSDD_CS_DATASOURCE=========CP" bzw. CL_RSDD_CS_DATASOURCE=========CM001 "CONSTRUCTOR"

Any ideas please !!

Thank you.

Hi Mohammed,

1>>> Kindly follow below steps to activate through function module.

1) Go to Tcode SE38 and

2) Execute the program RSDG_TRFN_ACTIVATE.

3) Give Transformation ID

4) Put Object status as INA (Inactive) and tick the Use M Version of DTP , if require so that it can activate DTP of respective transformation also.

2>>>If above step doesn't work ,try to create new DTP.

3>>>Check the note 989932 and to fix the error manually follow the instructions mentioned in OSS note 998730.

If you face the problem after implementing the notes, try to reactivate the DTP and re-transport it again.

hope it helps,

Cheers!!

Best regards,
