What is the backend service that the destination is referencing?
You can add the Mobile Network Trace feature to your application in Mobile Services and enable tracing before trying to sync.
After the sync fails go back into Mobile Services and stop the recording. You can then download the trace and open in a text editor (like VSCode) and review to see if there is a better error include.
If that still doesn't help you will want to check the logs at the backend service level. If you don't have access you may need to reach out to an admin there to have them look at the logs to see if there is more information about the failure.
