SAP BPA - Automation is staying in started mode

[CPI_Basis]

I have created a process with API trigger and added an automation to it. 
I'm able to call the API.

In monitoring it is showing the process and running but automation is stayed in started mode it is not feteching data or executing any steps in automation.

Although manual execution it is working perfectly fine.

Can anyone help ?

I was having the same issue. In monitoring and jobs logs i was getting this error "Maximum number of concurrent execution reached". 
Issue was with the service plan in BTP-SubAccount-Entitlements.
"automation-unattented" & "automation-attented" were not added to service plan. After BASIS added it to subscription it was working.

Go to Monitoring -> Automation Overview -> Ongoing Jobs -> Click on any running job -> Check the error message.
