Hi Experts,
We've recently installed BI 4.1 . We're having few issues:
1. When client is installed on different machine then it is not communicating with server. We've already tried few things like untick auto assign from Request server and manually assign static port but it didn't work .
2. Our BO Server is running on AWS Cloud.
3. Client is communicating when installed on server machine.
4. Could you please help our how to resolve this error.
5. CMC and BI launch pad are installed on server side as they're web browser tool and we need to install these on client machine as well. Qns is Do we need to install them or provide just URL link? If just URL like where to get these URL links.
6. We can't see SAP Lumira and SAP Dashboard on Service market place to install. Where we can find these software on Service maket place?
7. Could someone please send screenshot to install Dashboard, Lumira, Analysis office and Crystal report enterprise and crystal report 2013.
8. Do we need to install all these on client machine?
9. Could you please give me software list which should be installed on client machine?
10. As i know there is life cycle management tool but it is not even available from server side not even on client side. Could you please recommend how it can be installed??

Could you confirm that you are able to ping the BO server from Client machine. Also use telnet command from commandline of CMD in client machine. It will help to confirm that port communication is successful. Use ipaddress:cmsport for the system while logging into the client software. Update the hosts file entries at client machine with BO server name and ip address. Create an exception for BO installation location at client machine and check the results

Check on the server side first where your web server is installed (I am assuming tomcat in your scenario). Use http://serverame:8080/BOE/BI and http://servername:8080/BOE/CMC (8080 is default port. If it has been changed use the correct port).
If its working well. Perform the same activity using ipaddress:8080 at server. Next chek whether using the same URL you are able to get BILaunchPad and CMC pages and able to login from the same.
6. We can't see SAP Lumira and SAP Dashboard on Service market place to install. Where we can find these software on Service maket place (https://service.sap.com)?

Look into the admin guide for installation pre-requisites. These are available at Analytics Knowledge Center
We have a drop down for all products. Look for the guide and proceed with the installation.

Dashboard,Lumira,analysis office, CRE and CR2013 are client tools and hence need to be installed on client machine.

These vary according to user requirements. Check with developers for their softwares needed

In BI4.1 LCM comes by default. It is a server application. You can find it in CMC named as Promotion management and version management.
Use the admin guide and installation guide for all of the above. It will help you.

We've sorted out the communication issue of client with server. In CMC ---- Server -- CMS --In properties there're two port Request and name server, by default name server is 6400 and Request server is auto assign. After installation we've to untick and assign statitics port and it worked.
I'm not sure regarding life cycle managment as you said it comes default in BI 4.1 as Promotion management and version management. then how we're going to use it. Could you please send some screenshot if you've please?
I've download Lumira, Crystal report 2013, Dashbaord, Analysis office as well. I've installed Analysis office successfully but Lumira asking keycode, I've entered BOBJ licence keys from CMC but it didn't work.
Crystal report and Dashboard installation didn't start. Is there any prerequisitions to install these?
Do we need to install them first on server side?
Where to find BO Explorer?
What we can see via launch pad?
It seems Dashboard and Explorer doesn't exist in launch pad..
We've Crystal Report Viewer and Design Studio as well on Service Market. Do we need to install them as well.
As we've purchase Business Object suite but Lumira, and likely once i would able to start installation of Explorer, crystal report and dashboard then i'll need key code. Where can i get from service market place?
Do we also need to install Share point as it is available on client component?
Also, what is .NET SDK tool? Do we need to install it? I don't think we're going to do any customization now.. my understanding is we need to install only when we're going to do any customization via java script etc...

Dashboards is a client application. Dashboards need not be deployed on server. Infact its best not to install any client tool on server.
You would have to install explorer on the server.On installing explorer at server you would be provided the explorer application to work over web. This gets deployed on your tomcat.
Generally the URL would be http://servername:8080/explorer
You would need to provide separate keycodes for CR2013, Lumira, analysis office and design studio.
Dashboards are not available in BILaunchPad. However you can view explorer infospaces from BILaunchPad when explorer is installed on your server.
You can purchase the softwares with help of SAP Sales contact who helped you to buy the SAP Business Objects Suite.
For prequisites of all these softwares, go to https://service.sap.com/pam It would give you details for all products.
I do not have any idea of sharepoint, hence we need to wait for someone in the forums to provide details on the same.
Same with .Net SDKs or Java SDKs. The only thing I know is we can perform many types of customisations using SDKs. If you are not going to need them at present, you can install it later.
Setting up an environment is not a one go task. Architects should review their environment atleast once in a month and look forward for upgrades every 3 months to ensure that the sizing is as per needs.

Please could you explain how to deploy on tomcat.
Could you please confirm whether SAP Business Object solution comes with SAP Business Object Suite licence? Also, whether it is server side installation or both.
