Can any one give the information on SAP BODS? How is the SAP BI 7.3 Integration? what about HANA?

Hi Srikanth,

Business Objects Data Integrator or BODS Business Objects Data Services is a GUI workspace that allows to create jobs that extracts data from heterogeneous sources, transforms that data using built-in transforms and functions to meet business requirements and then loads the data into a single datastore or data warehouse for further analysis.

Hi,

SAP BODS is coimh up like a ETL tool. It is used for both SAP and NON SAP source.

It is used like a interface to SAP BW as well.

If there is any comparision say wrt BW and other source system ouside and than feed data to BW ,It is possible with BODS.

Data can be extracted to SAP BODS and also can be fed into it post comparisons,changes etc.

BODS(Business Objects Data Services) is also one more ETL and reporting toll which is used to extract data from SAP or NON-SAP system.

thank you for your reply, i have one more doubt that how is the future on bods? in bi 7.3 will they integrate sap bo and sap bods ? now most of the companies using sap bi 7.0, which type of companies are looking for sap bods?
