Same Web templates sample used for multiple queries

Hi

We have got 5 queries all using the same sample web template to get the same look n feel.

Now all is been published.

Would like to know if we change the sample web template with some property change for different look n feel, will it affect all the web temaplates created from the same sample template without doing anything on the individual web templates.

Please clarify.

Thanks in Advance

Sarah,

If you have changed the default web template for all queries then changing the template will afect all queries using the same - if you have just copied and pasted the HTML across the different templates and changed the data provisders - then you will have to change each template manually.

Where is the option to find the technical name of the default web template. And I hope we can change in the WAD itself so that reflects all the others.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

you can find the technical name of the default template as follows:

+ transaction SPRO

- SAP Reference IMG

- SAP NetWeaver

- Business Intelligence

- Settings for Reporting and Analysis

- Bex Web

- Set Standard Web Templates

- OR Set Standard Web Templates (Format SAP BW 3.x)

I suggest that you do not change the standard web template in the WAD itself but make a copy instead and afterwards maintain the new template at the path described above.

Best regards,

Janine
