SAC Validation Rules should be checked while running Data Actions

Hi All,

in my model I set one Validation Rule (I'm currently using the one with Existing Attributes) to allow data changes only for certain combinations of CCs and KFs.

What I found is that Validation rules are checked only for Manual Input or while trying to publish some data. But What about Data actions? For instance, if a run a Data Action with an Allocation step, I was expecting that my amount would be distributed only on the allowed combinations. But it is allocating for all the combinations. Only when I publish allocated numbers, data on not allowed combinations are not published: but total amount won't be my initial aggregated numbers that I need to allocate.

Any solution for my problem?

HIi Anna_D,

   For your scenario, if the reference data region is already posted/published based on validation rule, I guess your allocation execution should have no problem as well.

yes this is exactly what I was thinking. Thank you!

My users work on Private versions, but I will use a support technical public version to properly prepopulate the scenario leveraging the fact that Validation rules are checked while publishing.
