SAC Planning - Unable to add Value to a Parent Node

In my planning table example,

  • NRR-SRV (Parent Node) : The value field highlighted in red in the below screenshot cannot be edited.
  • All the leaf nodes below NRR-SRV : The vale field highlighed in green can be edited. Once any value is given, the value gets aggregated and shows on the parent node NRR-SRV(Fig B attached below)
  • Once there is any value in NRR-SRV, I can now edit the cell. But disaggregation happens only to the leaf account cell, where we inserted the value, in this case ScvRev Usage-Terrest.
  • There is no DataLocking or Validation rules applied in the table.
  • What can be the reason why I cannot give a value directly to the parent node and do a distribute values to all the children below it? Any settings in the model or in the Account dimension to be adjusted?
  • The issue is happening only for this parent node. All other parent nodes are good, and I am able to edit it directly.

Any inputs would be great.

Thank you,

In your Table, go Show/Hide and select "Reason for unplannable data" Click on the uneditable cell and you may find the cause.

Thank you @thomasboub. Selecting "Reason for unplannable data" showed that the account type of leaf nodes and the parent node are not the same. Infact, an account type was not given for the parent node in the master data table. Thank you, the issue is resolved now.
