S/4 Hana Cloud: Creating roles in BP master data for supplier

When creating a BP master data for our supplier, there are two roles: purchasing supplier and financial supplier.

If the supplier is a software organization or an organization who provides service (non-physical products), is it necessary for us to create purchasing supplier role information for this supplier?

Hi @kaya-ya,

The roles which you apply are dependant on your business processes and how the BP will be used. For exaple, if you will be using the supplier in the Procurement modules then you would need to use the purchasing role to maintain the required data.
