S/4 HANA Background Job Logs

Historically I've been able to view SAP background jobs (in ECC) at the operating system level under /sapmnt/<SID>/global/<CLIENT>JOBLG.  Now that we've installed S/4 HANA it seems that job logs aren't stored at the operating system level anymore.  Is there a way of viewing them outside of SM37?  Perhaps they're stored in the database directly now?

Job logs are now stored in tables TBTCJOBLOG<N> where N is a single digit between 0-9.  Not sure how the determination is made on which table.

Thanks Ryan, but what about the underlying log for the jobs described within this? As in, the job log as it appears in SM37.

@MarkyC that's exactly it, it's stored in those tables with the message format and any appropriate variables.

Sorry, I'm a bit confused about that. I can see the table with the background job entries, and there are a few fields within there, but I don't see the actual detail of the job log 😞

@MarkyC that's because the detail of the log would be to use the data from the DB and do MESSAGE i123(xx) INTO string, and then write the log in the program. No reason to save the full message content to the database directly because that can be displayed using the configuration that exists very easily.

Thanks Ryan, I've found a SAP note detailing the use of the table, so looks like there isn't an easy way of accessing the content as there was in the old world anyway. I appreciarte your really quick response, thank you.
