Hi,
Can any one explain the purpose of T-code RSRV.
Any Info in this regard is appreciated.
Hi,
RSRV T-Code is mainly used for the purpose of the repairing of ur BW Objects..RSRV is used to analyse consistency and repairing of BW objects LIKE InfoCubes, ODS, PSA, Master Data, etc....
You will use RSRV to check objects when you get errors (example: missing SID's) or when you want to make an audit of your BW system for possible problems or before a major upgrade, etc.
Hope it helps

Hi Pradeep,
Infoobjects may have many tables belonging to them (texts, attributes (time- dependent and non-dependent), hierarchies (time- dependent and non-dependent), SIDs etc.
When you upload infoobjects data may be written simultaneously into those tables. And certainly, data from one table shouldn't contradict to the others (data consistency). RSRV checks these contradictions and may repair them.
If you go through notes as I recommended in my previous post, you'll be able to find a lot of inconsistency examples.
Best regards,
Eugene

Hi Pradeep,
You can find details about particular tests in OSS Notes. Just type in a 'RSRV test' key words. You'll find tens of notes. For example:
#611176 - RSRV: Test "Values of navigation attributes"
#654218 - RSRV: "Consistency between PSA partitions and ..." test etc.
Note, that there is the other similiar program for repairing objects: RSDMD_CHECKPRG_ALL.
There are some notes about it also. For example, Note #592757 - Analysis/repair program: Sequence of single tests.
Best regards,
Eugene
