Hi All,
I have a small problem. We have a BI7.0 with oracle on AIX connected to EP7.0 with oracle on AIX.
Now inorder to setup BW Integrated Planning, We the BW consultant goes to RSPLAN tcode and starts modeller, it is able to connect to portal but portal gives error showing. "Error while obtaining JCO connection"
I have gone to Webdynpro-> Content admin, Where the Jco connections., create and maintain buttons are greyed out even for the adminstrator. On the left side pane
Deployed Content > System Defined Content > JCo Destinations > No Connection to SLD.
But the SLD server is running.
Can any body please help in tracing. I still working around to find the problem.
Thanks in advance.

Vera,
From the information provided, I assume that you have BI 7.0(ABAP) and EP (JAVA only) instanace in the landscape.
As part of post installation tasks for this setup, each of this system has to be added to a central SLD and then BI and EP have to be configured to talk to each other.
From the installation documents, the following topics are useful:
1. Configuring BI Java Information Broadcasting using SPRO: (from install guide)
2. JAVA Wizard-Based Configuration
The configuration wizard allows you to automatically configure the required settings for portal and BI integration.
These tasks involve creating certificates, running wizards etc.
Cheers,
Nisch

Hi,
Check the following note and perform the checks explained in the

One more thing is to check if the SLD is maintained properly or not:

=> Configuration
=> Post Installation Guide
The SLD documentation can be found here:
