Hi,

Doubt reg RSKC t-code:

I have got flat file with data having characters:

• & ^ % $ @ #

I want these inyo BW. People say to maintain these special chars in RSKC. How to maitian thse plz tell me the steps...

Hi Ram,

Execute in BW tcode RSKC. Press F1 and look at the chars that are permitted by default. Put extra chars that you need into the string ,save, choose a variant and save.

Single space is allowed by default in RSKC right?

You have to exclude special chars like TAB, CR, LF or another invisible chars by in transfer or update routines.

Hi Ram,

If you will load your data into ODS or cubes than you MUST to remove this TAB char. Those data targets will not accept it.

Why don't you replace it by SPACE, for example.

Why ODS and CUBE doesnt accept TABSPACE as a char while loading when the same accepts SPACE?

Hi Ram,

OSS note 173241 "Allowed characters in the BW System" shows a SPACE as a char permitted by default.

In RSKC you cannot insert TAB symbol into the string with permitted chars even if you try to cut it from a text in Word, for example, and paste it in BW.

hi!

it very simple just go to RSKT transaction and enter all the special charecters you want to allow and then execute and save..

thats it.

but i think the charecters you mentioned are in genreal allowed by default.
