Whar role/permission do i need to be able to access web Dynpro....
Ravi
Hi,
You don't need any specific role/permission to access webdynpro applications standalone (without iView). In case, you want to integrate them to portal, then you will need basic roles like
content admin role to create iView, role etc..,
user admin role to assign the iView or created role to user.
may require end user permission to view the iView.
In case you are looking for webdynpro workset under Content Administration to be visible for a user, then that user has to be a member of Administrators group.

Hi Ravi,
I think you are speaking about the webdynpro which comes under content administration in portal.
To access that You must have SAP_JAVA_SUPPORT role.
Please reply whether my assumption is correct or not

Hi Ravi,
Suppose you want to access web Dynpro components in Enterprise Portal, there is no specific role for this in the portal. Whenever you creating iView, select the web Dynpro Template for this.
In NWDS, you have to deploy the web Dynpro Application before you should have to configure the J2EE Engine. Give the Server Name and Port Number for this and give the SDM Password while deploy the web Dynpro Application.
Note:You dont have SDM Password means, you ask BASIS Team for SDM Password.
I think this is helpful for you.
