Hello,
I am building a webi report using universe based on Bex Querie. The user with which i am creating the webi has administrative rights so he can view all Folders (Fav + Public). I am using SAP Authentication so while creating the universe i am using authentication type "SSO"
Now, the SAP BI people have created another user "BO Test" and when i logged in Infoview the user is created but i don't want to give BO Test user the administrative rights. So for him to view only particular reports , Folders...i am not able to set him up to give access to the desired folders.
Versions and Patch Level being Used:
SAP BusinessObjects Edge BI Standard Package XI 3.1
SAP NetWeaver BI 7.0 , BW Support Package 19
Can someone elaborate on the steps, which i may be missing.
Please Help...
Someone have an idea to do this with the sdk ?

Hi,
so what is stopping you from assigning rights to the user ?

Hi Ingo,
Thanks for reply!!!
Actually, i am doing the activities which are needed for a user to give the access to Particular folders but when i login with the BO Test (to whom i have given the specific folder right) user, he is unable to view any folders.
The only folder he is able to view is Favourite one only.

Akhil
Since you are using XI3, you can either create Custom Access Levels or Predefined ones. If you know what kind of access you want to give,
1) At All Folders level, give Everyone View access
2) Go to that folder, give that group View on Demand (eg) and everyone no access
3) Go to Universe folders, at Universes (top level) - Give everyone view access
4) Go to that Univers folder, give that group View on Demand (eg) and everyone no access
5) Go to the connection, at top level give Everyone View access
6) Go to the particular connection, give that group View on Demand (eg) and everyone no access
7) Go to Applications: On Web Intelligence give that group View on Demand (eg)
This just gives you an idea how to start and where to start. Really there is lot more that this. You can use Custom Access Levels, Rights inheritance, etc...
